Crows Nest At The Marina

The Location - Elevated above D'Albora Marina, Nelson Bay, Crows Nest is the only accommodation available at the Activities right on your door step include a selection of restaurants, bars, markets, live entertainment and events for everyone. Cruises and charters depart daily to experience our wonderful waterways two and half times the size of Sydney Harbour. Dolphin and Whale Watch tours, Para-sailing, fishing charters, boat and jet ski hire and more. Marvel at the magnificent views over the Marina where luxury vessels moor.

The Apartment - This generously proportioned two bedroom apartment is a natural entertainer, with an abundance of beautifully bright open-plan living space as well as boasting wonderful high vaulted ceilings. A real star attraction of this apartment is its open furnished timber balcony with Weber Q gas BBQ, offering a great alfresco space. Here you can entertain or simply relax and take in the surrounding Marina views. The apartment is well equipped with ducted air conditioning, a flat screen digital TV and a DVD player. Full equipped kitchen with microwave, oven, cooktop and dishwasher.

The master bedroom has a king size bed and spa bath ensuite. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a king single bed. Both have ceiling fans as does the living room. The main bathroom offers a shower and bath. Other features include an Internal laundry with top loading washing machine and dryer. You will be supplied with one parking permit for free off street parking at the Marina during your stay.

Crows Nest is located above the Marina shops with 47 stairs (with a handrail) leading to the top floor apartment.

There are definitely smoke detectors at this property.

The heart of Nelson Bay

Great stay at this spacious unit. The location was the winning factor with cafes, pubs, restaurants,shops and beaches at your doorstep. The unit was clean and well furnished. Check in was easy and the staff at the rental office were friendly and accommodating. Basic provisions like tea,coffee, soaps etc were adequate. It could benefit from a little update as the blinds and outdoor deck were starting to show a bit of wear and tear, but overall we were very happy with our stay here.

Disappointing

WIFI was still unavailable (despite our having first reported the problem on our last stay - July 2020) and there was no attempt to repair it this time. The DVD player also did not work. Ditto some of the window locks.

Crows Nest Port Stephens

The apartment is in a fantastic location with great views over the marina and port. The apartment is also a great size. However, it is desperately in need of renovations. All of the window blinds are in poor condition, some not working and all need replacing. The deck on the balcony is rotten and broken to a point which means it is dangerous to walk on without proper footwear. The air conditioning filter looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. The front door leading to the apartment is dirty and the area in front of the door covered in grease and filth from the restuarant next door using the front verandah as a pathway to the refuse bins for kitchen waste. Just the look of the floor and door would be enough to put someone off and causes grease and dirt to be walked into the apartment hallways on your shoes. The Marina Wifi which is advised in the apartment does not work at all. The unhelpful staff in the marina office below said it was just a poor signal area and not working for the whole week we stayed. Not good enough for an apartment of this cost and a real let down for Dalbora Marinas. Staff bordering on rude and simply not interested in helping. We wouldn't return unless we knew substantial renovations had been done. The winning Holidays staff were very good.

Too difficult to book again

Do not book this beautiful apartment until the agent changes. This is one of our favourites in Nelson Bay, but we will not be staying there again until the owner changes their booking agent. They are a nightmare to deal with. It took 10 days & 5 phone calls to get a receipt for our payment. (They do not acknowledge payments even with an email) The key collection service (you have to download an app) does not work (3 people we know used it & it did not work for any of them) & although the property advertised that Foxtel was included, it took until the 2nd last day of our stay (& 3 phone calls) for them to tell us that the reason that it was not working was that it was not available. D'Albora Marinas: Please change your property manager so that we can stay here again.

Amazing view

Phenomenal view, huge wide open space, lots of light and air. Modern apartment with aircon. Only negative is they provide the linen but you have to make the beds yourself, which I found to be a bit of a pain. Note that most of the marina restaurants close at 8pm, so be sure to dine early. Would 100% stay here again as I found it luxurious and great value for money. Thank you.

If you cancel your accommodation the following applies -

1. Bookings cancelled at least 90 days prior to “Guest” arrival date is refundable less a cancellation fee of $100.00.

2. Booking cancelled less than 90 days from “Guest” arrival date are non refundable but the following does apply –

i) if any guest has booked direct with Alloggio Holidays, and request a refund for a booking arrival date inside 90 days, we do not refund but can transfer booking dates or if guests are uncertain of dates we will provide them with an Alloggio Holiday gift voucher to the value of their “Rent” component of the booking.

ii) our fees will be retained however when the guest does utilise the gift voucher the value of rent will be towards whatever the cost of their new booking value is. There will be no booking fees charged on gift voucher bookings as we have already retained the fees.

iii) The voucher will be valid for booking stay dates within three years from date of issue and may be used on any of our Holiday Properties depending on availability.

3. If you shorten your stay, the unused portion of your rental is not refundable.

4. Any Bookings made via an OTA, for example, Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider will be subject to the OTA Terms and Conditions.If you cancel any booking made through Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider you may be required to pay further fees to those providers pursuant to their cancellation policy.

5. Any costs imposed by any other provider are in addition to any costs imposed by Alloggio Management.
