Convenient Townhouse In Fingal Bay

The Location - Less than 100m across the road from Fingal Bay Surf Club, Saltwater Restaurant, Longboat Cafe, a great kids playground, a cycling and walking path, and the and Fingal Bay  beach (patrolled from September to April). Only 2.5km to Shoal Bay and 5km to Nelson Bay.  

The Townhouse - This three storey townhouse is in a boutique complex and literally steps to a super beach. On the ground floor is a living area/rumpus room with TV with built in DVD for the kids with futon/sofa bed (BYO linen). This leads out to a small court yard with  BBQ facilities and clothes line backing on to the tennis courts. Also featured on this level is a bathroom, laundry and single lock up garage and extra car/boat space for a single axle trailer.  An open plan living area is on the first floor, with two balconies. There is free wifi, an 35m LCD TV and DVD located in the lounge room, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen offering a  microwave, dishwasher, full size fridge and cooking facilities.   

Boasting three lovely bright and spacious carpeted bedrooms on the second floor, the main bedroom has a queen size bed and features an ensuite bathroom and access to a small balcony. The second bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has two single beds, plus a third bathroom with a shower.

There are definitely smoke detectors at this property.

Disappointing Experience

I was very disappointed with our stay. It was a family Mother's Day weekend. On the Sunday morning we noticed that the carpet upstairs was wet in the hallway and realised that it was an internal leak.
I reported it and informed the agent that we we going out for lunch. On our return late in the afternoon, someone had been and left two drop cloths on the floor. I didn't get any feed back from them as had been reported that I would. The leak wasn't fixed.
The next morning I tried to have a shower in the downstairs bathroom, only to find it had no cold water.

Feedback for owners

The townhouse is well located. Although the kitchen is extremely dated the fridge, oven and stove worked well. The toaster was broken so you had to hold the button down and it only worked on one side. The dishwasher required rinse aid. The cupboards were full of dirty platters and breadboards. There was a slow cooker which I cannot imagine needing yet no whisk or egg lifter. The cupboards and drawers just really need to be emptied cleaned and reorganised and some things updated which would be inexpensive. The shower over the bath in the ensuite is a slip hazard, you have to lean too far back to get yourself under the shower head. Perhaps just replace it with something that protrudes further. Consider giving the venetian blinds a really good clean, they were absolutely filthy downstairs and in the bedrooms upstairs. A proper outdoor setting downstairs where the BBQ is would be helpful. A functioning clothes line is also critical.

Right across the road from the beach!

This 3 level townhouse was well furnished and equipped. The location is excellent as it is right across the road from Fingal Beach. There is also a kids playground right across the road. Garage is included so you can park your car inside plus there is also a designated outdoor carspace within the complex.

If you cancel your accommodation the following applies -

1. Bookings cancelled at least 90 days prior to “Guest” arrival date is refundable less a cancellation fee of $100.00.

2. Booking cancelled less than 90 days from “Guest” arrival date are non refundable but the following does apply –

i) if any guest has booked direct with Alloggio Holidays, and request a refund for a booking arrival date inside 90 days, we do not refund but can transfer booking dates or if guests are uncertain of dates we will provide them with an Alloggio Holiday gift voucher to the value of their “Rent” component of the booking.

ii) our fees will be retained however when the guest does utilise the gift voucher the value of rent will be towards whatever the cost of their new booking value is. There will be no booking fees charged on gift voucher bookings as we have already retained the fees.

iii) The voucher will be valid for booking stay dates within three years from date of issue and may be used on any of our Holiday Properties depending on availability.

3. If you shorten your stay, the unused portion of your rental is not refundable.

4. Any Bookings made via an OTA, for example, Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider will be subject to the OTA Terms and Conditions.If you cancel any booking made through Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider you may be required to pay further fees to those providers pursuant to their cancellation policy.

5. Any costs imposed by any other provider are in addition to any costs imposed by Alloggio Management.
