The Location - This quiet and perfectly located holiday unit is only a short stroll away from village shops, restaurants, bars, bottle shop and newsagency. Take a stroll to the top of Tomaree Headland or enjoy the public picnic and BBQ facilities along the foreshore.The Nelson Bay CBD is approximately 5 minutes by car where you can enjoy boutique shopping, award winning restaurants and the marina where dolphin and whale watching cruise boats depart daily.

The Unit - Sit back, relax and watch the boats sail in from this amazing two bedroom unit positioned right on Shoal Bay's beautiful waterfront. After a fun day swimming, snorkelling or fishing directly opposite this self contained holiday unit you can enjoy a glass of wine on the full length verandah with outdoor setting, BBQ, wonderful sunsets and beautiful vistas.
Other features of this comfortable unit include a tiled open plan living area with a double sofa bed (foam mattress), two cane arm chairs, HD TV, DVD player, a CD/MP3 player, electric heating, pedestal fan, water views and sliding screen and glass door access to the front balcony. The fully equipped kitchen has a small cook-top, microwave, fridge and a breakfast bar with three stools.
The main bedroom has a double size bed, bedside tables and water views with the second bedroom offering two single beds and partial water views. There are shared laundry facilities downstairs as well as one under-roof car parking space.

There are definitely smoke detectors at this property.

Castaway Beachside Holiday - location, location

Check in procedure excellent, property in original condition, could do with some updates - a decent oven would help, some repair work required, thought this would have happened prior to new renters moving in. Thorough clean required. Definitely a great family location - convenience, easy walk to shops, cafes, etc Nice walking options available - car rarely utilised during stay. Easy beach routine everyday, just by crossing the road.

DON'T STAY HERE IN SUMMER !!!

NO AIR CON IS A SIN AGAINST MANKIND. NO UNIT SHOULD BE LET WITHOUT IT. I NOTICED AIR CON ON A GROUND FLOOR UNIT - THE OWNER MAYBE ?!!! STIFFLING UNTIL LATE AFTERNOON. Fridge let milk spoil overnight and took a full day to freeze ice. Cockroach in main bedroom. Couldn't swing a cat in bathroom/toilet. Best location in town spoilt by a tightarsed owner. Photos looked good but very old fashioned in real life. Nothing spent for years.They couldn't even make the bloody beds !!!

Great view but every outdated interior

Check in was stressful , I was told the system was down and that’s why I had received no corespondents as to where I could pick up keys from , the view from the balcony of accommodation was amazing but the furniture was extremely old and tiny foot heater (only source of heating for entire unit )was dangerously old and damaged , I was also not informed prior to check in that I would have to make my own beds nor was it in advertising description.

If you cancel your accommodation the following applies -

1. Bookings cancelled at least 90 days prior to “Guest” arrival date is refundable less a cancellation fee of $100.00.

2. Booking cancelled less than 90 days from “Guest” arrival date are non refundable but the following does apply –

i) if any guest has booked direct with Alloggio Holidays, and request a refund for a booking arrival date inside 90 days, we do not refund but can transfer booking dates or if guests are uncertain of dates we will provide them with an Alloggio Holiday gift voucher to the value of their “Rent” component of the booking.

ii) our fees will be retained however when the guest does utilise the gift voucher the value of rent will be towards whatever the cost of their new booking value is. There will be no booking fees charged on gift voucher bookings as we have already retained the fees.

iii) The voucher will be valid for booking stay dates within three years from date of issue and may be used on any of our Holiday Properties depending on availability.

3. If you shorten your stay, the unused portion of your rental is not refundable.

4. Any Bookings made via an OTA, for example, Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider will be subject to the OTA Terms and Conditions.If you cancel any booking made through Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider you may be required to pay further fees to those providers pursuant to their cancellation policy.

5. Any costs imposed by any other provider are in addition to any costs imposed by Alloggio Management.
