Across the road, just steps from your front door is the southern end of Fingal Bay Beach, known to the locals as 'Kiddies Corner' as the calmer waters are ideal for small children to swim, and a boat ramp to launch your vessel. The pristine white sand beach winds along the coast, offering endless opportunities for swimming, past the popular surf beach in front of the surf lifesaving club (patrolled in season) and up to the famous Fingal Spit. The spit can be crossed at low tide (with caution, check times with surf club) to view the ruins of the outer lighthouse residence. Just 350m from your duplex you will find walking trails at Barry Park, and a lookout where you can watch humpback whales migrate north from mid-May to August and south from August to mid-November with their newborn calves. The local restaurant, cafes, grocery shop, a fantastic children's playground and great tree-lined pathways for walking and bike riding are all at your fingertips. Shoal Bay is just 3.5km away and Nelson Bay is a short 6.5km drive.
This 2-storey, contemporary duplex is perfectly positioned, overlooking the pristine coastline, with strategically designed windows drawing the beautiful views in. Boasting all modern inclusions, it has ducted air-conditioning and lovely polished floors upstairs and split systems in the downstairs bedrooms. It also features a modern, fully equipped kitchen and an open plan living area with a large LCD TV & DVD, plus free WIFI, and the property has a Foxtel dish so you can bring your own box with you and have access to Foxtel.
The private, oceanfront balcony boasts uninterrupted panoramic views all year round, and offers quality outdoor furnishings and a BBQ. There are 3 bedrooms, all with walk-in robes. The master bedroom is upstairs and has a queen bed and ensuite, as well as a single trundle bed in the robe, and the other 2 bedrooms are downstairs, one with a queen bed and the other with 2 single beds.
An internal laundry with washer and dryer and double lock up garage completes this magnificent holiday property.

What a location!
We stayed at this beautiful property for 8 nights and only wish it could have been longer. Home is extremely spacious and literally across the road from one of the gems of Port Stephens, the Fingal Bay beach overlooking Shark Island. Overall, my family loved their time here and we hope to be back. Providing a few creature comforts would've made our stay a 5 star experience but certainly not a detractor from highly recommending this lovely home.

Excellent location.
Very clean and well kept property. Awesome views. Walking distance to the beach. Perfect sized property only thing missing was no air conditioning down stairs. My family and I would definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed at this property and had a wonderful time. The house is stunning and so perfectly located directly across the road from the beach. We'd definitely stay again but would have loved for some basic beach equipment to be provided such as beach umbrella or beach chairs. There also wasn't an iron, a hairdryer or any basic starter kit of soap etc. These little inexpensive extras would be helpful adds for those flying to Newcastle (as we did). Thanks again

Good location, nice house BUT....
some little things let it down,
terribly cheap cutlery, mismash of cups and glasses, no knife sharpener, no peeler that worked,nor can opener.
BBQ wouldn't light due to faulty ignition and no gas in bottle on arrival.
lights could do with some dimmers vvvv bright downlights at night.
no spare queen blanket, wool or cotton ,just a doona etc.
at this price these little things need to be sorted.
PS any issues you have need to be rung thru to the philipines to get a very belated answer.
still haven't been paid for the gas bottle

Excellent location but needs improvements
The house is in an excellent location and has everything you need for a holiday. The fridge in the kitchen was not working properly, so we needed to use the fridge in the garage, which was slightly inconvenient as we had a lot of food and two cars were parked in the garage. The doona in the master bedroom needed a wash as its bad smell also made the room smell. There were plenty of beach toys for kids to play with, including a small kayak that kept a group of adults entertained. It was annoying having to pick up the keys from Nelson Bay and having to drop them back off in Nelson Bay instead of locking them in the property when we left.
