Moorings Holiday Townhouse at Soldiers Point.

The Location - Located at the most western tip of the Tomaree Peninsula Soldiers Point is almost entirely surrounded by water making it a popular location for fishing and boating. You will enjoy spectacular sunsets in this lovely quiet and relaxing holiday destination which also offers a 4 lane all tide boat ramp with ample car and trailer parking, children's playground, BBQ's and picnic tables, community tennis courts for hire, internet cafe and award winning restaurants all within walking distance.

The Townhouse - Well presented throughout this wonderful townhouse is split over 5 levels and can comfortably accommodate two families. It offers four bedrooms including a teenagers loft retreat, two bathrooms and two living areas. Other features include boat parking in front of the double lock up garage, a communal in-ground swimming pool, direct beach access to Sunset Beach plus secure fencing around the complex including security gates making it a safe environment for smaller children.

Ground Level: The ground level offers a spacious tiled living area with modern leather lounge suite, 50 inch flat screen TV, DVD, CD player plus i-pod dock and a dining suite with six chairs. Water glimpses and sliding glass door access a paved entertainment area with gas BBQ and solid timber outdoor setting amidst tall palm trees and tropical landscaped gardens. The kitchen comes fully equipped and offers a dishwasher, wall oven, glass stove-top, microwave, family size fridge/ freezer plus a round glass top dining table and 4 cane chairs. The internal laundry is adjacent to the kitchen and has a front loading washing machine and dryer. If guests bring a boat with them there is a private mooring which they can access by request.

Mid Ground Level: The main property entrance and formal lounge room are positioned on the mid-ground level and include two comfortable lounges, coffee table with matching side table, floor to ceiling sliding door access to a light-filled atrium with indoor garden and wicker outdoor setting. Other features include a double lock-up garage with internal access and a powder room with toilet and sink.

Mid Level: Eight stairs from the formal lounge lead up to the mid-level which has a master bedroom with queen size bed, bedside tables, mirrored built-in robe, sliding door access to a covered balcony with outdoor chairs and water views plus access to a private ensuite bathroom with shower over the standard size bath, his and her sink plus a toilet. The second bedroom has two single beds, bedside table, built-in robe and access to the covered balcony.

Mid Upper Level: The third bedroom is positioned on the mid-upper level and offers a double bed and bedside tables with the main bathroom offering a large corner spa bath, glass shower, vanity and separate toilet.

Upper Level:  The spacious loft bedroom is on the upper level is ideal for teenagers or adult guests and offers two single beds, draws to place your clothes, plus 25 inch TV and DVD plus a Play Station II with some games.

There are definitely smoke alarms at this property.

My little peace of paradise.

I have stayed at the Moorings 5 years ago & was very keen to return. I love the location away from all the hustle and bustle of Nelson Bay. The property has everything we needed. Safe & secure for the visiting Grandchildren. Gorgeous private beach & we could walk to the Point restaurant for a fabulous lunch & The Deck to grab a coffee.

Quality stay at spacious unit

A very neat and spacious unit, which is located at the water with breathy views of sunset. The unit offers ample bedding, yet don’t feel cramped at all. Separate living spaces for multiple members of the family. The unit is well equipped and really a home away from home.

Lack of care from the Property Manager

We have stayed in this property 10 years ago and had lovely time with some family friends. We came back for the October long weekend to repeat the experience and create new memories.
What was going to be amazing weekend almost end it up in disaster and big scare for the family of a young 13-year-old boy. In the attic of the house, one of the pictures in a glass frame on the wall fall on his bed no further than 10cm from his head. The draught caused by one of the attic windows not working and closing - moved the picture and made it fall. We have advised the property agent as soon as possible (they were closed on the over the long weekend) and were assured that someone from Winning Holidays will follow it up with the property agent and with the owner ASAP and advise of the outcome. Few emails from us and more that 2 weeks later, we are still waiting for ASAP reply approach from either.
Although not much has been done to the property, it is still in presentable shape.
However, few things were noticeable when it comes to security of the property. Apart from the mentioned attic window not closing and causing an incident, door/fly screens leading to the backyard is not properly closing and locking. So, we felt very unsafe to leave our belongings in the house.

If you cancel your accommodation the following applies -

1. Bookings cancelled at least 90 days prior to “Guest” arrival date is refundable less a cancellation fee of $100.00.

2. Booking cancelled less than 90 days from “Guest” arrival date are non refundable but the following does apply –

i) if any guest has booked direct with Alloggio Holidays, and request a refund for a booking arrival date inside 90 days, we do not refund but can transfer booking dates or if guests are uncertain of dates we will provide them with an Alloggio Holiday gift voucher to the value of their “Rent” component of the booking.

ii) our fees will be retained however when the guest does utilise the gift voucher the value of rent will be towards whatever the cost of their new booking value is. There will be no booking fees charged on gift voucher bookings as we have already retained the fees.

iii) The voucher will be valid for booking stay dates within three years from date of issue and may be used on any of our Holiday Properties depending on availability.

3. If you shorten your stay, the unused portion of your rental is not refundable.

4. Any Bookings made via an OTA, for example, Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider will be subject to the OTA Terms and Conditions.If you cancel any booking made through Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider you may be required to pay further fees to those providers pursuant to their cancellation policy.

5. Any costs imposed by any other provider are in addition to any costs imposed by Alloggio Management.
