The Location - Shoal Bay Beach Apartments are just 200 metres from the Western end of popular Shoal Bay Beach and also has a pool in the complex. Only one kilometre to Shoal Bay's cafes, restaurants and boutique shops or two kilometres to Nelson Bay for more shops, supermarket, cafes, restaurants and the marina. The ideal base!
The Apartment - Apartment 17 is on the second floor and overlooks a bush land reserve. There is a large balcony with a gas BBQ, perfect for outdoor dining, leading into open plan and air conditioned living with a sofa bed, flat screen TV and DVD player, dining area and a full kitchen with cook top, oven, microwave and dishwasher. The main bedroom has a king bed and balcony access, the second bedroom has a tri bunk bed (double on the bottom and single on top) and there is one bathroom with a shower, plus an internal laundry with a washer and dryer. Off street parking for one car with lift access to the apartment.
There are definitely smoke alarms at this property.

I actual forgot to mention the dust on the top of the fridge which has not been cleaned which I ended up doing because I wasn’t going to place items there and have my items filled with dust the water In the shower was hot and cold it annoyed me because it kept changing the bathroom should have an exhaust fan there was some globes that could have been replaced I think I kept the place cleaner then when I first walked in I would really like to know what these cleaners come and do when they come in clean after guests have left the pool was too small for the amount of ppl who are in this complex it should have a bigger pool it not big enough for two families to share the photos of the beach with the hotel I think are deceiving because if anyone who saw those photos of the beach would find it deceiving I actually thought that I was able to see those views from the apartments, although it said bush lands it should also point these pictures of shoal beach are local beach not the view you will see I was disappointed thinking I would be seeing a beach view when I saw the pictures of the beach in the apartments I believe I think also fans should be placed in the rooms it gets hot if the door is closed I can’t think of any bad cons but it was still ok if you don’t plan to stay there all day but comfort comes long way when your away from Home.

Close to beach
Me and my family stayed at these apartments these are good if your out all day and just need the apartment for sleeping and need to cook your main meals balcony could have been a bit more cleaner didn’t sit there at all it was a nice modern apartments with all your amenities no beach view at all just bush land shoalbeach is beautiful place to bring your family to enjoy the sunshine . In Nelson’s bay there is no stopping for adventure it’s just wake up and go once you hit the beach you you have the amazing views it’s so relaxing some locals are friendly if your from different background you will get stared at as if your in show I wish people didn’t look at us as if we aliens from the outside above all I really enjoyed myself

Great location
The location of the apartment was great. Average size units, with large balcony and master bedroom. However the place hasn't been cleaned properly, old bed sheets, not enough kitchen utensils, shower wasn't working properly (too cold or too hot). Alloggio at Nelson's bay had followed up on the issues and made all the necessary adjustments to make our holiday be pleasant.
The outdoor pool is very small.

Needs a good clean!
This apartment is quite new however very unclean. Cobwebs everywhere outside and cockroaches inside the apartment. Thankfully we received clean sheets and towels as the doona and pillows were filthy. I couldn’t wait to go home!

All you need
Walking distance to Shoal Bay for swimming and the apartment had all that was needed for a great holiday with the kids.

Sewerage smell from laundry overpowering.
Had to leave balcony doors open all weekend to air out the sewerage smell.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your accommodation the following applies -
1. Bookings cancelled at least 90 days prior to “Guest” arrival date is refundable less a cancellation fee of $100.00.
2. Booking cancelled less than 90 days from “Guest” arrival date are non refundable but the following does apply –
i) if any guest has booked direct with Alloggio Holidays, and request a refund for a booking arrival date inside 90 days, we do not refund but can transfer booking dates or if guests are uncertain of dates we will provide them with an Alloggio Holiday gift voucher to the value of their “Rent” component of the booking.
ii) our fees will be retained however when the guest does utilise the gift voucher the value of rent will be towards whatever the cost of their new booking value is. There will be no booking fees charged on gift voucher bookings as we have already retained the fees.
iii) The voucher will be valid for booking stay dates within three years from date of issue and may be used on any of our Holiday Properties depending on availability.
3. If you shorten your stay, the unused portion of your rental is not refundable.
4. Any Bookings made via an OTA, for example, Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider will be subject to the OTA Terms and Conditions.If you cancel any booking made through Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider you may be required to pay further fees to those providers pursuant to their cancellation policy.
5. Any costs imposed by any other provider are in addition to any costs imposed by Alloggio Management.
