Right on the tranquil waters of Salamander Bay

This recently refurbished holiday home is ideally situated on the western end of Wanda Beach, between Salamander Bay and the quiet and beautiful Soldiers Point. Stay right on the waterfront, with a peaceful outlook of the Bay and Headlands. The water lapping at your doorstep is perfect for swimming, fishing, kayaking and walking the picturesque shoreline.

Bannisters Resort is just 200m from the house and offers 3 restaurants, including the famous Rick Stein's restaurant, or for a more casual option, Soldiers Point Bowling Club is across the road. Enjoy nearby Pearson Park, a lovely space with large shaded grass areas, picnic tables, BBQ, toilets, playground, and be sure to check out Soldier's Point and its marina, which offers more restaurants, cafes, tennis courts, a playground and boat ramp. You are close to the Wanda shops (1.2km) and Salamander Shopping Centre (5km), while further afield is the main township of Nelson Bay (8.5km).

This generously proportioned, waterfront 4-bedroom home is a natural entertainer, with an abundance of bright, beautiful spaces as well as delightful ocean breezes. Situated only steps to the water's edge and offering fantastic water views, the home has a warm and inviting feel and is tucked away from the street so it is lovely and quiet inside. The open plan dining and living area boasts large windows looking out to the bay, and a flat screen TV, electric heater for the cooler months and WIFI. Step out onto the patio and capture the striking north-easterly views of the glistening ocean. The kitchen is well-equipped, including a dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine (BYO pods), and the laundry is fitted with a washer and dryer.

Guests in 3 of the bedrooms will get to sleep waterfront with bay views, with the main king bedroom offering a private balcony looking out to the bay. The 4th bedroom with queen bed is situated near the 2nd family room, which leads out to a private courtyard with a grassed area, accompanied by outdoor furnishings and a gas BBQ. There are 2 luxe bathrooms, one with shower and toilet, and the other with a shower, toilet and a modern bathtub that will entice you for a long rejuvenating soak after a day out exploring.

There is a double carport for parking, as well as space for a small boat in the driveway.

Birthday Weekend

Great location and property was as described on the web site. Some marks on carpet but otherwise clean and tidy.
Would have benefited from some clear instructions for the property including TV and Sound operation, location of bins, use of cooktop etc.
Also would have appreciated some coffee pods being supplied.
We enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

Great location. Dated accom in need of deep clean

The location is fantastic. Right on the beach and close to parks, shops, pubs and a great restaurant (Cheeky dog and rick stein at Bannisters only a few doors down tree beach from the house). The layout of the house is wonderful with lots of areas for all guests to socialize together and enjoy their own space also. Unfortunately the house was very dirty - bathroom & kitchen especially. It needs a proper deep clean. Also some lights need replacing and the stovetop doesn’t work well so needs maintenance/ upgrade.
