The Location - This modern swim out apartment is located within Pacific Blue Resort at Salamander Bay. Pacific Blue boasts a huge pool that wraps around the resort, day spa, tennis court (byo racquets), gym and a heated lap pool. All just 400 metres from the Salamander Shopping Centre and a 10 minute drive to Nelson Bay, Anna Bay or Shoal Bay.
The Apartment - A split level apartment with air conditioning, open plan living downstairs. flat screen TV, DVD player, CD player and leading out to the balcony with direct access to the pool. The modern kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, oven and cook top.The bedroom is located upstairs, with a king bed(cant split) and a single fold up bed (ideal for a child), a bathroom and an extra balcony overlooking the pool.Plus an internal laundry with washer and dryer and off street parking for one car.
There are definitely smoke detectors at this property.

Long weekend by the pool
The swim up balcony made it, we spent most of our time in and out if the pool :-)
The apartment is quite basic in terms of kitchen etc. but ample for making simple meals. The bed was very comfy. Location was great for all the other activities we did in the area - camel rides, sand dune safari, horse riding an easy drive to everything.

Pacific Blue review
We have stayed at this resort for many years.
The way the property is maintained is very poor with pealing paint, a very dirty swimming pool and weeds everywhere.
Oaks certainly shows very little care for the management of the property.
If you are seeking a quite peaceful stay then this will be very hard to get at this resort.
Families with small kids have infiltrated the place and some show no regard for other guests as they jump, throw rubbish and glass all over the place.
Have reported this to Oakes but they did not care at all.
Wont be returning here as will stay elsewhere next time we are in Port Stephens.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, we are disappointed that you were not happy with the cleanliness. This property normally receives 4 to 5 star ratings for cleanliness. Unfortunately ants are seasonal and can appear anytime in the cleanest of houses, and spider webs could appear on balconies over night. We will pass on your feedback and suggest a pest spray to be performed.

Relaxing
Very relaxing forgot about the world outside lovely gardens an oasis cut off from suburbia great pool swim out . Thoroughly enjoyed restaurant meals and cocktails at happy hour . Definitely a return trip . A few minor maintenance issues needed attention Unless guests tell Mx they won’t get fixed.same reported.

Fantastic Resort
Stayed at the pacific blue resort in salamander bay apartment 139. The place was amazing. Couldn't have chosen a better place in port Stephens. The room itself was so clean and comfortable.. Fantastic service from port Stephens accommodation. Everything was so quick and easy. Thank you for a great weekend..

Great place
Fantastic apartment well equipped. Only down side was there is no awning over balcony so when it was very hot we couldn't sit out there for too long and when it rained we were stuck inside.

Great Location, needed a good clean though.
Apartment wasn't clean, doona cover hadn't been washed, dust everywhere, filth under lounge. Cockroach baits on floor. Foldaway bed was broken & collapsed when my child laid on it. Seat cushions on lounge fell off every time you sat down. Whilst the location was great, unfortunately, the apartment left a bit to be desired. Would stay at resort again but in a different apartment.

Relaxing holiday
The apartment was lovely and the meandering pool divine. The apartment looked just like the photos, so we got what we expected. The only improvement would be the provision of linen and towels. Not fun to have to carry every essential item.

Thank you for the review. Personal linen is not provided but can be hired (where it is delivered to the property and then picked up from the property after departure) or guests can bring their own. This allows us to keep tariffs to a minimum.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your accommodation the following applies -
1. Bookings cancelled at least 90 days prior to “Guest” arrival date is refundable less a cancellation fee of $100.00.
2. Booking cancelled less than 90 days from “Guest” arrival date are non refundable but the following does apply –
i) if any guest has booked direct with Alloggio Holidays, and request a refund for a booking arrival date inside 90 days, we do not refund but can transfer booking dates or if guests are uncertain of dates we will provide them with an Alloggio Holiday gift voucher to the value of their “Rent” component of the booking.
ii) our fees will be retained however when the guest does utilise the gift voucher the value of rent will be towards whatever the cost of their new booking value is. There will be no booking fees charged on gift voucher bookings as we have already retained the fees.
iii) The voucher will be valid for booking stay dates within three years from date of issue and may be used on any of our Holiday Properties depending on availability.
3. If you shorten your stay, the unused portion of your rental is not refundable.
4. Any Bookings made via an OTA, for example, Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider will be subject to the OTA Terms and Conditions.If you cancel any booking made through Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider you may be required to pay further fees to those providers pursuant to their cancellation policy.
5. Any costs imposed by any other provider are in addition to any costs imposed by Alloggio Management.
