The Location - Nelson Street is only 500 metres from Nelson Bay's shops, cafes, restaurants, the marina and Nelson Bay Beach and less than one kilometre from family friendly Dutchies Beach.
The House - This single level house has timber floors throughout, an air conditioned living area with a flascreen TV and DVD player, a dining area with ceiling fan and a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, upright stove and dishwasher. Three bedrooms, main with a ceiling fan and queen bed, the second bedroom with two sets of bunk beds and the third with a sofa bed and extra flat screen TV, main bathroom and ensuite with showers (no baths) and an internal laundry with a washer (no dryer). There is also secure parking in a single lock up garage plus an off street car space.
The yard is fully fenced and dogs are welcome outside only. Please note that the east coast of Australia is a paralysis tick area and we recommend applying precautions for paralysis ticks to your dog (check with your vet).
There are definitely smoke detectors at this property.

Weekend stay
We booked for 10 persons however we found the place very small and good for a couple and up to 4 kids. Definitely not good for more than one family.

Run as far as you can
Overpriced for what you get. I’m okay with older style but the state that this house was in is unacceptable. It smelled of fish. There were cobwebs, dirt and grime everywhere. Stained mattress, dirty cutlery, dishwasher was mouldy. Couches were destroyed. An absolute disaster of a house.

Thank you for the feedback. Housekeeping have checked the sofa bed and some of the bed linen has also been replaced. We have since had guests use the sofa bed and no issues identified. We hope to see you again.

Pest control needed
The garden needed to be cleaned, mowed and weeded. Needed pest control as there were cockroaches inside and numerous spiders outside.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your accommodation the following applies -
1. Bookings cancelled at least 90 days prior to “Guest” arrival date is refundable less a cancellation fee of $100.00.
2. Booking cancelled less than 90 days from “Guest” arrival date are non refundable but the following does apply –
i) if any guest has booked direct with Alloggio Holidays, and request a refund for a booking arrival date inside 90 days, we do not refund but can transfer booking dates or if guests are uncertain of dates we will provide them with an Alloggio Holiday gift voucher to the value of their “Rent” component of the booking.
ii) our fees will be retained however when the guest does utilise the gift voucher the value of rent will be towards whatever the cost of their new booking value is. There will be no booking fees charged on gift voucher bookings as we have already retained the fees.
iii) The voucher will be valid for booking stay dates within three years from date of issue and may be used on any of our Holiday Properties depending on availability.
3. If you shorten your stay, the unused portion of your rental is not refundable.
4. Any Bookings made via an OTA, for example, Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider will be subject to the OTA Terms and Conditions.If you cancel any booking made through Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider you may be required to pay further fees to those providers pursuant to their cancellation policy.
5. Any costs imposed by any other provider are in addition to any costs imposed by Alloggio Management.
