Affordable shoal Bay unit with ocean views

The Location - This property is located opposite the beautiful Shoal Bay Beach, with clear turquoise waters and white sands it is the perfect holiday destination for anyone looking for beauty, fun and relaxation. Shoal Bay would undoubtedly be one of the prettiest coastal towns Australia has to offer on the east coast. Shoal Bay beach offers great swimming and you can hire kayaks and stand up paddle boards (open everyday during the high seasons of school holidays, long weekends and Easter).The beach runs from the Tomaree Headlands to Nelson Head, Little Beach. Just a 700 metre walk brings you to the lively area of Shoal Bay, where you will find a delicious selection of places to eat and drink along the waterfront. Continuing on to the eastern end of the bay is the magnificent Tomaree National Park with spectacular views from the top of Tomaree Mountain. Just a 5 minute drive in the opposite direction brings you to Nelson Bay.

The Unit - Moana Blue is an affordable unit with a difference, it has a funky, homely feel that is comfortable and attractive. The position is perfect as it is in the heart of the bay and Shoal Bay beach is conveniently just across the road. Entrance to the unit is via the ground floor where the bathroom (with shower) is located. Upstairs is the open plan living dining area with digital flat screen TV, and leather lounge. Living area and the queen sized bedroom both have ceiling fans. The quaint little kitchen brimming with natural light is neat and tidy and offers a fridge/freezer, microwave, oven/stove top and a leafy outlook through the kitchen window.

The exterior shared balcony is tiled and has outdoor furniture,where you can sit and watch the blue sparkling waters of Shoal Bay. Other features include one open car space at the rear of the Berrigal building. October 2020 - Please note that the car park is currently closed and there is scaffolding on the building for strata work. This expected to be completed by the end of June and while this property will not be impacted, the car space at the rear will not be accessible so street parking will be required.

There are definitely smoke detectors at this property.

My Little Paradise

We stayed for the weekend again. We've stayed here a few times in the past for it's location to the beach and the Shoal Bay Country Club where we now get priority seating! The accommodation at Moana Blue is neat and clean. The bed is very comfortable, great for my bad back!

What a spot!

My husband and I have stayed at Moana Blue a few times now. We've also stayed at a few other places at Shoal Bay but we seem to always go back to Moana Blue for its location comfort and price. You just can't beat it for value!

Great stay!

I stayed at this apartment last weekend and had a great overall stay! The location is just sensational as it’s right across from shoal bay, so you can have your breaky or glass of wine on the balcony and look right out and see the ocean (I even spotted dolphins!). Apartment is great for a single or couple and has all the basics that you would need during your stay. Really felt like I was walking into my own place and loved the personal touches to the home. Would recommend to anyone!

Over priced dump

Our entire experience with Alloggio management services was nothing but appalling. Going to a bunker after hours in the middle of a Caltex service station and downloading a bloody app is ridiculous there were a few people we met there on Friday night not knowing what to do. The information provided by Alloggio to access the key is pathetic. Then we have to drive back to the caltex service station which is kilometers away from shoal bay to drop the key off by 11am or get penalised $150. outrageous taking up our Sunday to drop a key back miles out of our destination where we just spent $390 to stay is ridiculous. I rang the phone number provided which warned me of getting that key back of face a $150 fine (5 emails 2 text messages) and was told they were located in Fiji !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Moana Blue is an overpriced dump, again information does not tell you that the toilet and bathroom is down a long staircase and the bathroom is old and cruddy disgusting!!! One wine glass and that had a crack in it pathetic !!!! WE will not be going to Nelson bay again if this is the way that real estate agents watif or whatever are managing key access etc and offloading excess charges onto the consumer!!!

The secure key hub was designed and located so guests didn't have to come into Nelson Bay and struggle to find parking to pick keys up, plus it makes it convenient for afterhours pick up at no extra cost. The reason this guest had issues with the key hub was due to them not downloading the lock vue app before leaving home which was recommended in our confirmation email, requesting them to download app before arriving as the reception at the key hub can be weak at times. It is important to follow the instructions at the key hub properly. We are working hard to make the process hassle free for our valued guests. We are redeveloping the lock vue app and working towards simplifying the instructions. Regarding the property, this is a comfortable unit right opposite the beach, a good location for good value. We apologies for the lack of wine glasses, we will be replacing them. If there is ever an issue on arrival, please contact our office immediately and we can offer missing or broken items so to rectify the situation without interrupting your holiday.

Comfortable but missing some essentials

The place had lovely decor and a homie feel. The location was great too. However it was missing some essential easy to add features that other non rental property air bnbs have. These things included things such as basic condements,oil to cook and there was no bbq even tho it was advertised on the add. Wifi would have been great too, or at least some dvd to watch on the TV. Over all it was a good place, good value and good location.

Perfect Little Gem

Fantastic place to stop and unwind. Across the road from out favourite swimming spot and a short stroll to our favourite Hotel. This place is well equipped and very comfortable. Styled nicely too. Will definitely stay here again and the sooner the better!

If you cancel your accommodation the following applies -

1. Bookings cancelled at least 90 days prior to “Guest” arrival date is refundable less a cancellation fee of $100.00.

2. Booking cancelled less than 90 days from “Guest” arrival date are non refundable but the following does apply –

i) if any guest has booked direct with Alloggio Holidays, and request a refund for a booking arrival date inside 90 days, we do not refund but can transfer booking dates or if guests are uncertain of dates we will provide them with an Alloggio Holiday gift voucher to the value of their “Rent” component of the booking.

ii) our fees will be retained however when the guest does utilise the gift voucher the value of rent will be towards whatever the cost of their new booking value is. There will be no booking fees charged on gift voucher bookings as we have already retained the fees.

iii) The voucher will be valid for booking stay dates within three years from date of issue and may be used on any of our Holiday Properties depending on availability.

3. If you shorten your stay, the unused portion of your rental is not refundable.

4. Any Bookings made via an OTA, for example, Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider will be subject to the OTA Terms and Conditions.If you cancel any booking made through Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider you may be required to pay further fees to those providers pursuant to their cancellation policy.

5. Any costs imposed by any other provider are in addition to any costs imposed by Alloggio Management.
