The Location - Kooringal is right on the water at Soldiers Point with direct access to the water (fish from the banks at high tide!). It is a 300 metre walk to the Soldiers Point Bowling Club, just over one kilometre to the Soldiers Point Marina (with two restaurants and a cafe) and less than two kilometres from the Wanda Beach shops with a grocer, chemist, newsagent, bakery, bottle shop, cafe and takeaways.
The Unit - This renovated ground floor waterfront unit looks straight across the harbour, with water views from the patio, living area and kitchen. The patio is at the front of the unit and has a gas BBQ, leading in to a living area with wi-fi, a flat screen TV, DVD player and iPod dock, a dining area and a kitchen with a microwave, oven, cook top, dishwasher and coffee machine (BYO pods - Nespresso compatible) and full fridge. The main bedroom has a queen bed and ceiling fan, the second bedroom has a tri bunk and there is one bathroom with a shower (no bath), plus an internal laundry with a washer (no dryer). One undercover car space is provided and there are 8-10 stairs to the unit from the car park. The yard is not fenced and backs onto the waters edge.
There are definitely smoke detectors at this property.

A blissful break from the rush!
A few days in this apartment was a very peaceful & restful time. We had a time between family demands ( operations, new babies & grandparenting) to get away. Fabulous location, patio to grass, walks on the beach. Superbly provisioned with appliances & very clean. Linen provided was so easy! We just took cereal & milk & we were all set!!

Just as advertised
Book this apartment if you want a quiet break, away from the busy tourist centre but close enough to drive to it all. The outlook is peaceful, though low tide brings extensive mud flats.
We only used the main bedroom and found the bed comfortable and linens spotless. Kitchen well equipped and bathroom basic but adequate.
The downside - for the price, a basic tv and dvd just isn't good enough. No Foxtel or smart tv functions. The pretty green couch has no support, or comfort at all. We sat on kitchen stools to watch the news! The space inside just catered for 2. Any more adults would be very crowded.
So, if there's 2 of you who don't watch much tv can relax on a horrid couch, and drive a small car ( tricky parking) , then book this. If not, I'd recommend you keep looking.

Thanks for the feed back. We are sorry you were not entirely satisfied with the unit, this property normally get great feed back. We understand the parking is a little tight, and the view and location is what you are paying for not foxtel. I would have thought the leather lounge would be more comfortable and supportive than bar stools!

Stunning Location
Great Location but the parking space is abominable and a lot of stairs down to the unit. The unit smelt strange and it took a lot of airing to get rid of the smell I suggest the owner look into the possibility of rising damp in the main bedroom closet.
If holiday let owners introduced easy to use stick cord free vacuums it would be easier to keep units clean.

As good as it looks.
Had a fantastic 7 days at Soldiers Point. The apartment is very peaceful and private. And the water views were terrific. We even had 2 dolphins swim buy every day at high tide.

A beautiful clean, fresh and bright unit to stay in with great view of water. The only down side was the under cover parking access which was a nightmare to get into with a steep drive and very small space to park.

Beautiful Views
Very comfortable unit. Beautiful views of the water and wildlife. We saw a koala and possums in the tree in the yard and dolphins swimming past. Great location.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your accommodation the following applies -
1. Bookings cancelled at least 90 days prior to “Guest” arrival date is refundable less a cancellation fee of $100.00.
2. Booking cancelled less than 90 days from “Guest” arrival date are non refundable but the following does apply –
i) if any guest has booked direct with Alloggio Holidays, and request a refund for a booking arrival date inside 90 days, we do not refund but can transfer booking dates or if guests are uncertain of dates we will provide them with an Alloggio Holiday gift voucher to the value of their “Rent” component of the booking.
ii) our fees will be retained however when the guest does utilise the gift voucher the value of rent will be towards whatever the cost of their new booking value is. There will be no booking fees charged on gift voucher bookings as we have already retained the fees.
iii) The voucher will be valid for booking stay dates within three years from date of issue and may be used on any of our Holiday Properties depending on availability.
3. If you shorten your stay, the unused portion of your rental is not refundable.
4. Any Bookings made via an OTA, for example, Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider will be subject to the OTA Terms and Conditions.If you cancel any booking made through Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider you may be required to pay further fees to those providers pursuant to their cancellation policy.
5. Any costs imposed by any other provider are in addition to any costs imposed by Alloggio Management.
