Relaxed living with views out to Shoal Bay

The Location -Step across the road to discover the beauty of Shoal Bay Beach, relax on the warm sand with a good book, take a refreshing swim or try your hand at stand-up paddle boarding, with hire equipment on the foreshore. Follow the pathways around the foreshore, past the boat ramp to the Tomaree Headland which offers amazing views down the coastline and across the Port. Hire a bike from downstairs, play a game of tennis at the Shoal Bay Tennis Courts or enjoy Italian Coffee and cuisine at Marco's located right next door to the Chemist - all located underneath the Fleetwood Building. Nelson Bay and marina are just minutes by car (approx. 3.2km from apartment) where dolphin watching cruises depart daily and whale watching experiences available between mid May to mid November each year. Shoal Bay hosts the Annual Human Whale on Shoal Bay Beach in July each year where everyone is invited to make the shape of a whale which is photographed from the air and this usually is advertised on the local news.

The Unit - Set on the edge of Sparkling Shoal Bay is Fleetwood. This air conditioned 2 bedroom unit offers a wonderful combination of comfort and style, with quality inclusions and water views. The ideal entertainers paradise, this unit provides guests with the perfect balance between indoor and outdoor living with the main living room with Smart TV and Netflix (log in to your account),opening to a balcony with outdoor furnishings with seating for six and BBQ. In addition, there is a second balcony off the rear bedroom also offering outdoor furnishings to enjoy the coolness of the afternoon breeze. Wifi included.

The kitchen is set at the heart of the unit and provides microwave, dishwasher and full size fridge with oven and sit up breakfast bar to enjoy your morning coffee. Walk through to master bedroom offering queen size bed with built ins and bedside tables with reading lamps. Sliding glass door leads out to terrace. Bedroom two offers double bed below with single bed above also leading out to outdoor terrace.Lovely bathroom offering separate shower and vanity with separate toilet for added convenience. Internal laundry with washing machine and dryer.

There is onsite parking downstairs accessible with a remote control. Entry to carpark from Government Rd

Nearly there

Such an easy walk across the road to the beach was blissful, but it is on a busy corner. The photo is old and there is now traffic lights and a council shelter getting built across the road which ruins the view. It lacks privacy as everyone at the traffic lights looks directly at the apartment. The apartment itself was well laid out and modern, except the carpet was a bit old.

Great location

The property was clean and tidy with good views ans access to the beash and shops. Just a few small things could improve e.g. no microwave,no mixing bowls. Would definitely rent again.

Shoal Bay Holiday

The location was great and the configuration of the apartment was perfect. Unfortunately the assistance from the holiday staff was not very satisfactory. The apartment maintenance was not good, quite a few things were broken, including the sliding door into the main balcony. The cleaning was not good, dirty sponges, hair in the fridge. In general it could have been a lot better, considering the fact that we have a pandemic at the moment. Would not recommend this place to anyone!

If you cancel your accommodation the following applies -

1. Bookings cancelled at least 90 days prior to “Guest” arrival date is refundable less a cancellation fee of $100.00.

2. Booking cancelled less than 90 days from “Guest” arrival date are non refundable but the following does apply –

i) if any guest has booked direct with Alloggio Holidays, and request a refund for a booking arrival date inside 90 days, we do not refund but can transfer booking dates or if guests are uncertain of dates we will provide them with an Alloggio Holiday gift voucher to the value of their “Rent” component of the booking.

ii) our fees will be retained however when the guest does utilise the gift voucher the value of rent will be towards whatever the cost of their new booking value is. There will be no booking fees charged on gift voucher bookings as we have already retained the fees.

iii) The voucher will be valid for booking stay dates within three years from date of issue and may be used on any of our Holiday Properties depending on availability.

3. If you shorten your stay, the unused portion of your rental is not refundable.

4. Any Bookings made via an OTA, for example, Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider will be subject to the OTA Terms and Conditions.If you cancel any booking made through Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider you may be required to pay further fees to those providers pursuant to their cancellation policy.

5. Any costs imposed by any other provider are in addition to any costs imposed by Alloggio Management.
