The Location - This property is located within walking distance (850m away) to village shops, bottle shop, bakery and newsagent. There is a lovely walk to these shops around the Wanda Wanda Headland, taking in the unspoilt beauty of the Bay. The major shopping centre in Salamander Bay is only 3.5km away. The Nelson Bay CBD and Marina are approximately 10 minutes away (6kms) and offer boutique shopping, award winning restaurants, specialty stores, cinema, fishing co-op and Bowling Club. For the golfing enthusiasts there is a 27 hole course at Nelson Bay or an 18 hole course at the prestigious Horizons Golf Resort Salamander Bay. There is something for the whole family in Salamander Bay ranging from Super Strike for the Bowling to the Toboggan Hill Park for the more adventurous. The Tomaree Aquatic Centre is open daily and features an 8 lane 50 metre pool, covered heated toddler pool, waterslide, and kiosk. 

The Duplex - Perfectly positioned along exclusive Foreshore Drive this first floor beachfront apartment offers comfortable and cosy accommodation for eight guests. Listen to the waves lap against the shore from the open plan lounge and dining area which offers cane lounge suite , a 40 inch flat screen TV, DVD, i-pod docking station, surround sound, ceiling fans, electric heating, a solid timber dining table and six chairs plus floor to ceiling windows to capture the amazing bay views. Three sliding glass doors open the main living area to the full length balcony with two small outdoor settings and a gas BBQ.  The spacious kitchen comes fully equipped and offers breakfast bar with four solid timber stools, full sized fridge/freezer, microwave, wall oven, stove-top and a dishwasher. The main bathroom and laundry are combined and include a standard sized bath, glassed shower, vanity, a front loading washing machine and dryer with a separate toilet.

The master bedroom has all the creature comforts of home with a solid timber queen size bed, bedside tables, dresser, built-in wardrobe, ceiling fan, a 26 inch flat screen TV with built-in DVD player plus a private ensuite bathroom with glassed shower, toilet and vanity. The second bedroom has a tri-bunk bed (single on-top and a double on-bottom) bedside table and mirrored built-in robe with the third bedroom offering a second tri-bunk bed, a free standing clothes rack and a 21 inch flat screen TV with built-in DVD player.

Other features of this property includes a safety rail to place at the top of the stairs to protect small guests and a port a cot, a single lock-up garage plus an off street car space ideal for a second vehicle or trailer boat. There is a fantastic grassed area that separates this property from the white sandy beach which is ideal for the kids to play or for a family game of cricket. Garage Dimensions: Depth - 6.0m, Height - 2.1m.

Awesome location

Really clean older duplex rental.
Linen that was hired was so stiff- felt as though it was exfoliating our skin
For the amount paid we expected wifi(something we should have checked) and a smart tv(Netflix or something during bad weather)
Overall, the location and cleanliness was great and would stay here again. But just a few things that could improve the stay

Fantastic location

We visited for a week with our two kids. The location couldn't have been better - right in front of the beach, with some grass in between. Also a beautiful panoramic view of the bay from the windows and verandah.

The place itself is pretty spacious and clean.

The only negatives were that everything was quite dated. Including the fact that there is no Wifi, no way of watching Netflix (or anything other than Free to Air) on the TV, etc etc. I think the owner could invest a small amount in those things and it would make a big difference.

But overall we really enjoyed our time here and would come back again!! (hopefully after they have a new TV :-)

If you cancel your accommodation the following applies -

1. Bookings cancelled at least 90 days prior to “Guest” arrival date is refundable less a cancellation fee of $100.00.

2. Booking cancelled less than 90 days from “Guest” arrival date are non refundable but the following does apply –

i) if any guest has booked direct with Alloggio Holidays, and request a refund for a booking arrival date inside 90 days, we do not refund but can transfer booking dates or if guests are uncertain of dates we will provide them with an Alloggio Holiday gift voucher to the value of their “Rent” component of the booking.

ii) our fees will be retained however when the guest does utilise the gift voucher the value of rent will be towards whatever the cost of their new booking value is. There will be no booking fees charged on gift voucher bookings as we have already retained the fees.

iii) The voucher will be valid for booking stay dates within three years from date of issue and may be used on any of our Holiday Properties depending on availability.

3. If you shorten your stay, the unused portion of your rental is not refundable.

4. Any Bookings made via an OTA, for example, Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider will be subject to the OTA Terms and Conditions.If you cancel any booking made through Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider you may be required to pay further fees to those providers pursuant to their cancellation policy.

5. Any costs imposed by any other provider are in addition to any costs imposed by Alloggio Management.
