Holiday Escape Near Water at Picturesque Soldiers Point
The Location - This ideal home is situated in the quiet and beautiful Soldiers Point. Only metres to the picturesque beach across the road which over looks the Bay and Headlands, perfect for swimming, fishing, walking and kayaking. Bannister's Resort is also situated only 200m from the house, which offers three restaurants including the famous Rick Stein restaurant. For a more affordable option across the road is Soldiers Point Bowling Club. Continuing to the point of Soldiers Point via Bagnall Avenue is Pearson's Park. A lovely park with large shaded grass areas, picnic tables, BBQ, toilets, playground and safe swimming. At the Point is the Marina offering more restaurants, cafes, tennis courts, a playground and boat ramp. The Wanda shops is a short 1.2km away which offers a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants and further a field is the Salamander Shopping Centre 5km away. The main township of Nelson Bay is 8.5km from the holiday house.
The House - This large well appointed beach house has been furnished with every room being individually decorated with its own unique charm. The house is set over two levels, the ground floor comprises of a lovely entrance hall and opens out to a homely sitting/dining area complete with soft furnishings, wall mounted flat screen TV, ceiling fans and a large selection of books and DVD's to keep guests entertained. This area leads out to a huge undercover balcony with a table and plenty of seating. The kitchen comes equipped with a microwave, free standing oven and fridge freezer, the external door leads outside to an external laundry room which offers an older style top loading washing machine and sink. There is also a path leading to an outdoor table and chairs and to the washing line. with a further drying line on the lower balcony. Also on the ground floor are the three beautifully decorated bedrooms, two rooms offer queen sized beds and the third offers two king singles, all have built in robes and pedestal fans. The main bathroom comes complete with shower, bath, vanity and toilet.
Internal stairs lead up to the first floor where you will find another large kitchen, living and dining area. The fully equipped kitchen offers a dishwasher, built in oven, stove top, fridge freezer and coffee machine. The delightful lounge room offers a TV, ceiling fans and air conditioning with comfortable seating and sliding doors lead out to another huge undercover balcony with outdoor dining table and chairs, gas BBQ and a sun lounge. This elevated alfresco area offers great water views over the bay. There is also an internal dining area next to the lounge room and a separate toilet and vanity.
The large drive way offers plenty of easy parking plus room to park a boat, please note that the garage is not for guest use. Please respect the neighbours and do not park on their lawn.

Great stay, could do with a little bit of attention
Pros:- House was well suited for family of 4 and had lots of space
Great location Near beach/shop/restaurant
Cons:- Doesn’t have WIFI, need to pick up and drop of keys to Nelson bay, didn’t receive email with house instructions, house wasn’t cleaned when we checked in but staff did manage to get a cleaner quickly and they did a great job. Dining table is about to collapse and there are no batteries in any remotes. External of house could do with a high pressure spray to remove spiderwebs and cockroaches has no laundry.
For the cost to rent the property I expected everything to be seamless but I also understand That Nothing is ever perfect
Would stay at this property again but would send management a checklist before arriving

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feed back. Dining table has been fixed, was damaged from previous guests. The cleaner notification had failed to be sent, our apologies for this but glad a cleaner came quickly. Batteries have now been replaced (there were spares in the TV cabinet). Cobwebs have been removed on external walls. There is a laundry outside the back door (key to laundry hanging on downstairs kitchen window.

Cancellation Policy
If you cancel your accommodation the following applies -
1. Bookings cancelled at least 90 days prior to “Guest” arrival date is refundable less a cancellation fee of $100.00.
2. Booking cancelled less than 90 days from “Guest” arrival date are non refundable but the following does apply –
i) if any guest has booked direct with Alloggio Holidays, and request a refund for a booking arrival date inside 90 days, we do not refund but can transfer booking dates or if guests are uncertain of dates we will provide them with an Alloggio Holiday gift voucher to the value of their “Rent” component of the booking.
ii) our fees will be retained however when the guest does utilise the gift voucher the value of rent will be towards whatever the cost of their new booking value is. There will be no booking fees charged on gift voucher bookings as we have already retained the fees.
iii) The voucher will be valid for booking stay dates within three years from date of issue and may be used on any of our Holiday Properties depending on availability.
3. If you shorten your stay, the unused portion of your rental is not refundable.
4. Any Bookings made via an OTA, for example, Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider will be subject to the OTA Terms and Conditions.If you cancel any booking made through Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider you may be required to pay further fees to those providers pursuant to their cancellation policy.
5. Any costs imposed by any other provider are in addition to any costs imposed by Alloggio Management.
