The Location - The Aura apartment complex is centrally placed in the heart of bustling Shoal Bay and surrounded by the best that this coastal location has to offer, and its only footsteps away from the sandy shore and clear blue waters of Shoal Bay Beach. The Bay Village shopping square is only 70m from the apartment offering a supermarket, hair dresser, beauty/massage, cafes, newsagent and boutique stores. Enjoy an abundance of cafes and restaurants along the Shoal Bay Foreshore. The Tomaree Mountain is less than 1km away, with roughly a 20 minute walk to the summit where there are some great lookouts offering the most magnificent views of the surrounding area and secluded beaches. Nelson Bay is approx 3km from the apartment providing a variety of boutique shops, cafes and restaurants as well as the ever popular D'Albora Marina which caters for all your aquatic activities and entertainment including our well known dolphin cruises, as well as enjoying a choice of dining options. 

The Apartment - This tasteful first floor two bedroom apartment is situated at the rear of the Aura apartments. Fully air conditioned throughout with a large open plan living area featuring a flat screen TV, DVD, Foxtel IQ and comfortable modern lounges. Large glass sliding doors open out to a spacious private wrap around balcony housing a gas BBQ and outdoor furnishings where you can enjoy your alfresco dining. The dining area offers a sophisticated glass round table and white chairs, with the well equipped stylish kitchen complete with stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, granite bench tops with a breakfast bar and stools.  

The main bedroom in this apartment offers a queen size bed, mirrored robes, air conditioning (heating + cooling), ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet plus balcony access. The second bedroom offers a tri bunk, a single bed, 26' LCD TV with DVD access, built in robes and also features access to the balcony area. The main bathroom offers a glass shower, separate bath, vanity and toilet. There is an internal laundry with washer and dryer.

The building has security cameras and security lift access. Parking is provided in the basement with street entry levels. 

There are definitely smoke detectors at this property.

Apartment 5 Aura Apartments

I've already provided a review via and was disappointed to see that the things we had issues with were report as early as January this year.
The location and apartment are fantastic. The ease of access to parking was welcome as we were travelling with my 85 year old father. The apartment was relatively clean however we were not happy with:
- Light in master bedroom not working - difficult for my elderly father.
- Laundry tap leaking consistently
-Kitchen sink plug not usable
- Not enough toilet paper provided for 2 nights
- Outdoor area had not been cleaned and was unusable
- Sheets provided were pristinely clean however doona covers and pillow slips had not been washed and risky with COVID 19 still around.
With these small improvements, we would stay here again.

Great location but some disappointing things

Great location and apartment size. Unfortunately linen was stained including old blood spots. One garbage bin for the whole 2 bathrooms and kitchen. Lots of dust, fluff, hair on furniture and floor. Bathrooms were clean. If these things were improved then it would be a great property.

If you cancel your accommodation the following applies -

1. Bookings cancelled at least 90 days prior to “Guest” arrival date is refundable less a cancellation fee of $100.00.

2. Booking cancelled less than 90 days from “Guest” arrival date are non refundable but the following does apply –

i) if any guest has booked direct with Alloggio Holidays, and request a refund for a booking arrival date inside 90 days, we do not refund but can transfer booking dates or if guests are uncertain of dates we will provide them with an Alloggio Holiday gift voucher to the value of their “Rent” component of the booking.

ii) our fees will be retained however when the guest does utilise the gift voucher the value of rent will be towards whatever the cost of their new booking value is. There will be no booking fees charged on gift voucher bookings as we have already retained the fees.

iii) The voucher will be valid for booking stay dates within three years from date of issue and may be used on any of our Holiday Properties depending on availability.

3. If you shorten your stay, the unused portion of your rental is not refundable.

4. Any Bookings made via an OTA, for example, Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider will be subject to the OTA Terms and Conditions.If you cancel any booking made through Stayz, , Airbnb or other booking provider you may be required to pay further fees to those providers pursuant to their cancellation policy.

5. Any costs imposed by any other provider are in addition to any costs imposed by Alloggio Management.
