The seaside village of Anna Bay is located at the gateway to the Stockton Beach Sand Dunes, 32 kilometres north of Stockton Beach and approximately 8 kilometres south east of Nelson Bay. Anna Bay is a popular destination spot for surfers, fisherman and those with the thrill of adventure. The famous local dolphin population are in the area all year-round, with the visiting whales migrating north in May and returning with their young around mid November. The fish are always biting regardless of the season at Anna Bay so why not try your luck rock or beach fishing at Birubi Point or Fishermans Bay.

The sand dunes are also home to "Tin City" which is home to the oldest fishing village.
